B’z guitarist win the Grammy Award

On the night of the 13th of February, four Japanese musicians won at the 53th Grammy Award. This is historical.  One of them is the guitarist, Takahiro Matsumoto from Japanese rock group B'z which has been one of the top group in Japan since the late 80's. He won the grammy by collaborating with a master of guitar, Larry Carlton.  

B'z is a Japanese music unit formed by the guitarist Takahiro Matsumoto and vocal Koushi Inaba in 1988.

Classic pianist, Mitsuko Uchida

She currently lives in London and was promoted to Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire (DBE) in the 2009.

Her compositions for koto and western instruments delve into a joyous and celebrative blend of world and pop music.

Hiromi Uehara

She is known for her virtuosic technique, energetic live performances and blend of different music genres such as jazz, progressive rock, classical and fusion in her compositions.
