Tokyo sanpo michi by Natsuko Nakabayashi

Walking in Azabu (麻布), Tokyo, I dropped in my favorite wrapping paper wholesale shop, Pack Mart.

These shops must be quite common in the western world, too but I took photos because it´s one of my favorite shops. I like just watching the huge amount of paper cups and wrapping papers. At the moment, there are many for Christmas.

You know, these kinds of stores are really not that common in the west – at least not in the U.S., where most of these goods are usually purchased at big places like Walmart or Target, and most of the paper cups and plates at the super markets. There are a few so called stationary stores around, but they carry more writing instruments and papers and such. Back home in Germany there are more paper-ware stores that usually carry office supplies, writing/art supplies and at the same time gift wrapping items, but again, most of your paper/plastic cups and utensils are sold at the super markets.
I think it does really make sense to have all of this in one place though!
